Yes. Hostiger Object Storage speaks the AWS S3 API — you can point tools like aws-cli, rclone, MinIO client, Cyberduck, s3cmd, Terraform's s3 provider, and any SDK for AWS S3 directly at the Hostiger endpoint without code changes.
Storage is billed per GB stored per month, plus egress bandwidth per GB. There is no per-request fee and inbound traffic is free. Typical pricing starts at $0.006/GB storage and $0.01/GB egress.
Buckets are region-scoped. At launch we offer object storage in Amsterdam (EU), New York (US-East), Los Angeles (US-West), Singapore (APAC) and Istanbul (MENA). Data physically stays in the selected region.
Yes. All objects are encrypted at rest with AES-256 by default. Server-side encryption keys are managed by Hostiger; customer-managed keys (SSE-C) are available on request for enterprise contracts.
No. Object Storage is pay-as-you-go — you're only billed for the GB actually stored and the egress you use. Buckets can be created and destroyed at any time from the console or API.
99.9% availability SLA with 99.999999999% (11 nines) durability. Objects are replicated across three availability zones within the same region. Failed replicas are automatically rebuilt from parity.
Yes. Object Lock (compliance mode) is available for regulatory workloads that require WORM (write-once-read-many) retention — SEC 17a-4, HIPAA, GDPR retention rules. Locks can be set per-object or per-bucket policy.
Yes. Inter-region replication between Hostiger Object Storage regions is free on the first 1 TB/bucket/month. Beyond that, replication traffic is billed at $0.005/GB — one-tenth of standard egress.
